Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures have unveiled the first look of their much-anticipated film Azhar. Azhar is a 2016 Indian Sports-Drama film directed by Tony D’Souza. The film is a biopic about the former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Emraan Hasmi will play the titular role and the actor has infused life into his character by not only getting his look right, but by also perfecting the cricketer's stance and his famous wrist movement.
The teaser trailer shows Emraan entering the cricket ground, clad in his cricket jersey, surrounded by an angry mob vandalising the stadium and as he approaches the game arena, a few spectators jump the fence and attack him. All this while Emraan's voice-over travels through the video and it gives the audiences an idea about what's in store for them.
“Main teen cheezon ke liye famous hoon. Ek, main khuda ko maanta hoon. Do, shaadi huyi hai meri (and a girl displays ‘marry me banner to him). Teen, match fix karne ka ilzaam hai mujhpar. Main Azhar…meri kahaani – 13 May 2016.”
Though Emraan's face is not visible in the teaser, when he enters, you feel as if Azhar himself is walking towards the ground to face his opponents. Going by the teaser, the movie is also expected to showcase the old-world charm that the star cricketer exuded and made girls fall for him.

The film will also star Prachi Desai in the role of his wife, after "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai", this will be the second time Emraan and Prachi will be sharing screen space.In their last film the couple had sizzling chemistry and we eagerly await to see them on-screen again in Azhar which is slated to release on 13th May 2016.
